About Me

I drew pictures of women from fashion magazines when I was fourteen;  that was when I discovered that I had a talent for art. At the time I thought I was good at drawing portraits; that is until I went to art school and experienced the defeat of drawing and painting live models.
Those projects were so awful that they went strait to the dumpster upon graduation. I found that experience so discouraging; the one thing I thought was my greatest strength had me feeling so deflated. It took a long time to muster up the courage to paint again.
When I paint I hope to transform a person's mood.
I like to equate my painting experiences to my life's challenges. I quite often get about half way through a painting and think to myself that I will never get through this one.
Then suddenly it pulls together and I wonder how I ever pulled it off. With every painting I complete there are usually ups and downs and just like every trial I overcome I feel great satisfaction and I gain the confidence to know I can do it again.
